September 11, 2001, Terror Attacks

Tri-Community Ambulance Service, Inc. will never forget the terror attacks on the morning of September 11, 2001. An event that changed our country forever. In the days after 9/11, a state-wide request for mutual aid Emergency Medical Services to assist in New York City was transmitted, and volunteers from Tri-Community responded to New York City to provide EMS relief to the exhausted local responders.

Tri-Community Ambulance responded to New York City with Unit number 330. The following volunteers assisted in New York City: Sherri Reischel, Chad Shepherd, Margaret Blake, Scott Blake, Wendi Walker and Amanda Sparks.

Tri-Community Ambulance Service was honored to help fellow responders in 2001 and consider it our duty to never forget and honor their memory in the years to come. In 2016 Tri-Community replaced unit 330 and dedicated the new 330 in the memory of the lives lost.
